Volunteer State Health Plan to Welcome 90 New Employees
TennCare MCO Celebrates Expansion in West Tennessee
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Volunteer State Health Plan (VSHP), a subsidiary of BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, will celebrate the arrival of 90 new employees to its Memphis operations on Friday, Oct. 24 at 11:30 a.m. These employees will serve the company’s TennCare enrollees in West Tennessee.
“As we prepare to implement our TennCare West contract effective Nov. 1, we want to take time to welcome all the new staff as well as thank current associates for their efforts in addressing the needs of our TennCare members,” said Sonya Nelson, president and CEO of VSHP.
The 90 new team members will also be joined by new associates from Value Options, VSHP’s behavioral health partner, along with approximately 200 other Memphis-based BlueCross employees. Others attendees who will participate in noting the historical significance and economic impact of the TennCare West contract include VSHP and BlueCross executives, local provider partners, area elected officials and TennCare representatives.
