Nurseline

Whether it’s a runny nose or possible poisoning – VSHP members can speak to a Registered Nurse (RN) anytime - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week - with 24/7 Nurseline 1-800-262-2873.

Dental Care For Children

If you are a child under the age of 21, you also have a dental plan for your teeth. This dental plan iscalled a Dental Benefits Manager, or DBM. TennCare's dental plan for children is Doral Dental. Their phone number is 1-888-233-5935. If you have questions about caring for your child’s teeth, you can call them. It’s a free call.

  • You do NOT need to see your PCP before you go to a dentist. But, you will need to go to a Doral dentist.
  • You can call Doral Dental to find a dentist.
  • This dental care is only for children. TennCare does not pay for dental care for adults.

Behavioral Health

BlueCare:

A health plan called Tennessee Behavioral Health takes care of your mental health care. Tennessee Behavioral Health is also called a BHO, or Behavioral Health Organization. If you have questions or problems about your mental health care, you can call TennesseeBehavioral Health at 1-800-447-7242. It’s a free call.

The same health plan that takes care of your mental health care also takes care of alcohol and drug abuse treatment. If you have questions or problems about alcohol and drug abuse treatment, you can call Tennessee Behavioral Health at 1-800-447-7242. It’s a free call.

A health plan called Premier Behavioral Systems of Tennessee, LLC takes care of your mental health care. Premier Behavioral Systems of Tennessee, LLC is also called a BHO, or Behavioral Health Organization. Prescription Medicine Coverage

If you have prescription drug coverage through TennCare, a health plan called First Health takes care of your prescription medicines. First Health is also called a PBM, or Pharmacy Benefits Manager. First Health will send you a card. You should show your First Health card to your drugstore when you get your medicine.

If you have questions about your First Health card, you can call the Family Assistance Service Center at 1-866-311-4287. It's a free call. But, if you have questions about your prescription medicines, you should call your doctor first.
